Why the scanner doesn't work

My watercolor skills are still very, very, very bad!! I really must do something about it... maby take some lessons?! Or use other paper.

Picture, cuz I really have trouble with my scanner: It doesn't want to scan things the way I want him to do! It is really annoying or it is just me, who do not know how her scanner works... I think
